Buy Local

"Think local first" is our motto.  Demonstrate a commitment to prioritize local procurement – buy local first!  A great, and poorly understood, benefit of giving trade to locally owned businesses is that the owners and their employees spend more money and pay more tax in the local regional economy.  This generates an economic multiplier effect (the number of times a single dollar is circulated in a community) that can be as high as three times more than when spending money at non-local stores.

Supporting local is a shift. We suggest a shift in the way you “think” about how you live, what you support, the food you eat and what you buy. Studies show that supporting local stimulates the local economy. It’s good for you, your family, friends and community.

Thinking Local First is simply being aware, educating yourself on what is local, and giving yourself time to think about the choices you make.
